Mark robinson

BIO

Mark Robinson is from Eldorado, a rural Ontario community, where he farms with his family.  Mark graduated from the University of Guelph with a Bachelor's Science degree in 1986.

Growing up in rural Ontario at the edge of the Canadian Shield nurtured a love for the outdoors that he shares with his wife spending most of their spare time paddling, camping, skiing and hiking, trying to experience some of Canada's special places.

Many years ago Mark developed an interest in photography.  While capturing nature's beauty in photos, he learned the importance of light and colour to preserve that feeling in the image.  Mark employs this same practice in his paintings so you can feel the warmth of the sunshine on a lake in morning or the smell of pines reflected in a pond.

Mark only began painting in 2013 with the encouragement and some instruction from an artist friend.  Using his vast photo library  and images inspired from the many trips he has taken in the past Mark has developed a style and freshness that draw you to his paintings. Mark finds his most satisfying works are the ones that bring back these emotions; the smells, sounds and feelings experienced like you were there.
